The full policy
What can be returned?
If the fit isn’t right, you may request a size-related return within 14 days of delivery. Items must be unworn, unwashed, and unaltered, with all original tags attached. Return shipping is the customer’s responsibility.
We also accept approved returns for items that arrive damaged; please report damage within 7 days of delivery. Returns for color preference or change of mind are not accepted.
This policy does not affect your rights under applicable consumer protection laws.
How do I request a return?
For a size-related return, email hello@alayacoast.com within 14 days of delivery with your order number and the item you’d like to return. We’ll confirm eligibility and share return instructions. Please wait for approval before sending anything back.
If your item arrives damaged, email hello@alayacoast.com within 7 days of delivery with your order number and clear photos of the damage. We’ll review the details and arrange a replacement or refund once approved. Please contact us before sending anything back.
Who covers return shipping?
For size-related returns, you’re responsible for the cost of return shipping. If we ask you to return an approved damaged item, we’ll cover return shipping and provide instructions. Please wait for our confirmation before sending anything back.
When will my refund arrive?
For a size-related return, we’ll inspect the item when it arrives and email you once your refund is approved. Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method; your bank or payment provider may need additional time to process the credit.
Can I make an exchange?
To choose a different size, request a return within 14 days of delivery and place a new order for your preferred size, subject to availability. We handle size changes as a return and a new purchase, rather than a direct exchange. Return shipping is your responsibility; any shipping charges for the new order are shown at checkout.
How do I choose the right size?
Review the size guide on the product page and compare the measurements with a similar piece you own that fits well. If you’d like help choosing, email hello@alayacoast.com before placing your order.
What if I receive the wrong item?
Email hello@alayacoast.com with your order number and a photo of what arrived so we can review the issue and help put it right.
